Tell Me All About It

Basketball continues to be America's most popular team sport having nearly 40 million players nationwide, and we would love to add you to the growing number of players!  Join us for an eight game season of dribbling fun, where all games and practices are held in Needville.

In the unique substitution system Upward Basketball uses, each child receives equal playing time throughout the season.  This system helps emphasize that we see all children as equally valuable on and off the field, and that value is not dependent upon their basketball skills.

When you register to play basketball with Creekside, you will find coaches who care about your child's spiritual growth as well as the growth of their basketball skills and abilities.  Developing character traits, encouraging Scripture memory, and building sportsmanship skills are a high priority in our league.

Player evalutations are complete with the first games taking place on December 1 - 3, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00PM.

Your child will practice one night a week, for one hour (except for four and five year olds who will practice on Game Day, not a separate night of the week).  Game Day is Saturday, and each game will last one hour.  See basketball schedule for specific dates of game days, and check back once the season has started for your child's team schedule.

Four and Five year olds who play Basketball will practice for the first thirty minutes of game day, then they will have their team devotion, and the last thirty minutes will be the actual game.

This season, Creekside will be offering a special league for players with special needs.  If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Ashlee Liddell at ashlee@creeksidefellowship.org.
